The Axios graph is linked to a source in the article that claims to back that up, but gives no details on what incidents it classified as left wing. It just says the group that published the article compiled the numbers. It's the Center for Strategic and International Studies, which looks super neo-liberal. Do you have a source on the numbers you cited? I'm not criticizing your numbers, I'd just love to have a source I can use if I end up arguing with someone about this. It looks like the Axios source is claiming there were 5 left wing and 1 right wing attacks as of Sept 2025. I found 3 right wing just scrolling the long list of 2025 mass shootings on Wikipedia.

I've worked in data analysis for 14 of the 19 years of my primary career and if I saw that sudden and major of a change and didn't triple check my numbers and figure out exactly why it changed, I'd be in serious trouble. It is interesting to note that in the article it says that left wing attacks cause less loss of life. I guess the right just wants to sIaughter, but the left wants to make a point

I have seen other graphs that clearly represent that right wing attacks are clearly greater than left wing. I believe I saw on either Don Lemon’s or Jim Acosta’s podcast. Both were discussing after the Charlie Kirk assassination. Sorry cannot be more helpful.

You're right. Right-wing terrorism has always greatly exceeded left-wing terrorism.

The underlying study is bizarre and clearly trying to paint an imaginary picture of left-wing violence. One "left-wing terror attack" they counted was a woman on the Washington Mall telling a cop she wanted to kill Pete Hegseth. Certainly not an attack, lol.

Which numbers would you like me to cite? I'm happy to.

In the paragraph right above the graph you said, "For example, there were twenty-nine right wing attacks in 2023 and a single left wing attack." But when I go to the Axios article with that graph and look at the study it's using as it source, it claims the opposite, like the graph shows, 29 left wing and 1 right wing. Though they don't list their data. Do you have another source that shows the 29 right wing and 1 left wing, that refutes the source Axios is citing?
