To me, the worst thing about Bari Weiss is that she has the same name as a pretty good beer from my home state (if you like fruit beers--they're not to everyone's taste): https://www.leinie.com/beer/berry-weiss

Incompetent propagandist is right. I watched a bootleg copy of the segment on YouTube after a Canadian recorded it on their phone when it was inadvertently aired there. Someone said many people would not have seen it had it not been pulled. And that’s true. I might not have even heard about it.

Excellent analysis of the overreach problem. The point about voters rejecting economic performance rather than embracing culture war stuff gets lost in all the noise. I've watched this play out locally where peopel vote for practical reasons but get interpreted as endorsing some grand ideological shift. The disconnect betwen elite narrative construction and actual voter motivations creates this exact miscalculation.

As an aging boomer, represent those of us who think progressively and act accordingly. Harris refused to explain herself on change in viewpoints as often happens with more available information e.g fracking. Unable or unwilling to put forth a policy on immigration. Unable to respond to Trumps ‘gotta ya’ on economy …relative to in power and things not changing. But absolutely correct in assessing Trump and what was to come if elected. Always the better choice…but riding the centrist position was too weak for the time.

Kamala Harris did express her policy on immigration.

It was that she would be tougher than Trump.
