A fun discussion about my favorite movie.

I recorded a discussion of the sci-fi movie ALIEN with The Lever’s Movies vs. Capitalism podcast. ALIEN is a cult classic, but it also is an allegory for the labor movement. With no workplace protections to speak of, the crew of the Nostromo is forced to take on the ultimate workplace hazard: a man-eating extraterrestrial.

We discuss the movie’s portrayal of labor and environmental issues, the birth of feminist icon Ellen Ripley, and some behind-the-scenes trivia that fostered one of the greatest movies of all time.
