There must be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Pope Francis has said what is needed, now he must do what is needed by going to Gaza and standing for peace, justice and freedom.

Let us also support UNRWA. If our governments won’t act in accordance with humanity, then we will. https://www.unrwausa.org/donate

Also we can all support the brave doctors who have gone to Gaza: https://palestinian-ama.networkforgood.com/projects/206145-gaza-medical-supplies-oct-2023

Let us make our donations to honor Aaron Bushnell, or in memory of Hind Rajab.

Here’s a new petition to excommunicate Joe Biden: https://www.change.org/p/excommunicate-president-joe-biden-bf979783-ac08-4576-a53f-c786ea23dc9c

These are a few small things we can do. If we can do more, let us do more.

Joe, thank you for writing this impressive and highly important piece of journalism. This article validated what I firmly believe occurred October 7th and the ongoing charade that this Israeli pariah state has been conning the public with. Mileikowski never had any intention of rescuing hostages as that would bring him one step closer to certain house arrest for his previous corruption charges as well as his willful failure for October 7th occurring and not preventing it. I mean come on, we all know the Israeli government knew October 7th was coming. But, oil, natural gas, controlling trade routes to Europe and a canal named Ben Gurion were much more important to a bunch of money grubbing murderous Zio capitalists

I'm glad you enjoyed it! We know Israel had advanced warning of 10/7. I'm not sure if they let it happen, or if their racism just convinced them that Palestinians could never pull it off. Regardless, it reminds me of 9/11. There's plenty of craziness around "who knee what," but the really evil is how they responded and used it.

I suspect that Biden keeps funding ‘Israel’ for his own political aims, I.e. because he thinks that the American electorate want this. He’s stuck in the 1970s, along with his politics. People are much more well-informed these days.Sadly, though, he may well be right regarding American opinions. I don’t know, that’s just my view from across the pond.

I think you're probably right. They think the younger Americans sympathy for Palestine comes from "Chinese propaganda," as opposed to just seeing it.

Satanyahu knows that the minute the war ends, he will face trial for multiple counts of corruption. His sole interest in pursuing this war has been to avoid this. It does matter to him that nearly 40,000 Palestinians have been killed. For him, if anything that’s a bonus. It has always been the desire of the zionists to eradicate Palestine, steal the land and destroy as many Palestinians as possible. He also know that not all the hostages can be released because the IOF killed so many of them. This war is all about Satanyahu and his survival. All the zionist apologists around the world refuse to acknowledge this in public because they know that they will be seen for the dirty occupation collaborators that they are.

What's crazy is that even Biden admits Netanyahu is continuing the war for political aims. And yet, he's going to keep arming them!!

P.S. I know that it sounds like I’m pointing my finger at .America for being the worst in the world regarding blinkered thinking, but the same is true of all states where the discourse is controlled. Very sadly, I think that applies to all of us, around the world. The difference is how aware or not people are of this.

Wow; that is such a blinkered view, it’s quite terrifying. I read here, I think on Caitlin Johnstone’s page, that America is ‘the most propagandised nation in the world’. From what you’re saying, that seems to ring true. Years and years ago, I had a boyfriend who had been married previously to an American lady. He told me that when he went there to visit his daughter (and ex-wife) he would be amazed at how parochial the TV news was. They lived in Minneapolis. What he said about the TV news is, I suspected was true for a lot of American news programmes. He said that the news bulletins concentrated on the local news first, then the national and finally the international news. That would explain a lot about the shaping of the American consciousness. Also, our newspapers are pretty bad here - to the extent that I will look at European news programmes and newspapers (I can understand a little French) to get a better view of what is really going on in the world. I think that the situation is worse in America; the old joke is that America started wars to teach its citizens geography - although I don’t know how successful that’s been. The Chinese state most probably isn’t an entirely benevolent entity, but I think that American opposition to it might be because the old US Empire is on its last legs, and is resentful at the rise of a new power. There is suspicion here too about China and it’s motives. The difficulty is that we can’t trust any state to tell us the truth about what is really going on and why, so have to make our own judgements.
