Saudi Arabia (Probably) Did 9/11

Even as the government's attempts to stop us from asking questions, the circumstantial evidence is mounting.

This week was the 22^nd anniversary of the September 11th attack. As has become customary, the anniversary was used as a moment of national reflection. From public classrooms to Monday Night Football, Americans are asked to share a moment of silence in remembering the 2,977 Americans who were murdered over two decades ago.

But while September 11th is celebrated as a day of ostensible remembrance, there is one aspect of the attacks that Americans are encouraged not to think about: The plausible role Saudi Arabia played in the murder of three thousand civilians.

The Evidence

While Saudi Arabia’s possible culpability in 9/11 may sound like the farfetched conspiracy heard from the likes of Alex Jones, the theory is anything but. For years, the family members of 9/11 victims have petitioned Obama, Trump, and Biden to release the documents from the FBI’s investigation into the attack, as they believe the files would aid their ongoing lawsuit against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Though President Trump promised the families he would release the name of the Saudi diplomat the FBI had linked to the attackers, Attorney General Bill Barr prevented the release, claiming it would do “significant harm to the national security.”

The files in question were from Operation Encore, the FBI’s investigation into the role Saudi Arabia played in aiding — and possibly directing — the 19 hijackers. While the FBI has admitted that “low-level” Saudis with ties to the Kingdom assisted two of the hijackers, the bulk of the investigation remains sealed to this day. But even without knowing the full extent of the FBI’s findings, what we know paints a plausible picture of Saudi involvement in the most consequential event of the 21^st century.
