there is a key pipeline that runs from the future 51/52 state of Alberta Canada into the lower 48 and the entry point is: Minnesota
the party that controls the state controls the pipeline that runs through that state AND controls the transit fees for the oil passing through that pipeline on a daily basis… and the transit fees are significant
I've been thinking about this, too, and I think there's another major reason Minnesota has been targeted. Other blue states have been targeted and then Trump retreated, such as California and Illinois. California is a powerful state, with the 4th largest economy in the world. Illinois is governed by billionaire JB Pritzker, a powerful man in his own right. But Tim Walz is a regular guy. Minnesota is not an economic powerhouse like California, nor run by another billionaire. On top of that, Walz effectively skewered Trump over and over during the presidential election campaign last year and Trump is a notorious grudge-holder and vengeful maniac. I imagine they thought they could more easily make an example of Minnesota. How wrong they were.
Incredible piece on how Minnesota's multiculturalism threatens the whole conservative framework. The Wilhoit quote about in-groups vs out-groups really cuts to teh core here. I saw something similar when I worked in community organizing, where the most intense pushback came not from opposing communities but from people within 'our demographic' who chose solidarity over tribal politics.
Excellent and well-researched, as always. Thanks, Joe.
Thank you, Andrea! ❤️

You mean the Secretary of Antabuse?
I am concerned about our Native American brothers and sisters in Minneapolis.

Nothing angers a bully more than people who push back.
