You left out the part of his response to having Tisch report to a deputy mayor that it referred to everyday stuff that didn’t require his input. In that light, it’s actually common sense.
thx for writing this. let's remember too that socialism is a collective project and process. we must each of play our part, however seemingly modest. 'from each according to their ability...'
I just want to point out that the woman in that photo in the white shirt is wearing an ICE hat. I'm assuming that's ICE as in the branch of DHS, and not the merch of a Vanilla Ice fan.
Not sure if it's just coincidence, but her right hand seems to be subtlety giving the middle finger.
We don't need Fidel Castro as mayor. Under his policies crime and homelessness will be worse. So will anti semitism. Most of his tax plan will never survive Albany. Rents will rise nothing but a nightmare
If you consider implementing socialist policies and not killing the city immediately, just slowly and over time so blame cannot be readily ascribed, then sounds like he's doing a bang up job. If you're hoping to run a business, own property, not get stabbed on the street, succeed financially, then you'll probably need to find some place else to live.
Not sure where the socialism is. Public toilets are pretty standard in most of the western world. Rent laws are pretty standard in Europe. Not so much in Australia as it has eaten the neo liberal caterpillar.
Here in the U.S., because public toilets are a public good and prevent businesses from essentially selling toilet use by demanding purchase of an item, toilets are definitely considered socialist! But, we’re sick that way.
That's a great point about Betar. They violently assaulted Jews for not being Zionist enough. Also, they make no attempt to hide their violent nature. Truly sick.

That makes a lot of sense.
It did to me when he said it.
We are all hoping he succeeds!

Very well put!

It is a DHS ICE hat. That's the group Betar. They're very proud of their fascist credentials.
good writing, good job!
Thank you, Adri!
Yeah condemnation of the people protesting illegal land sales and calling the protests antisemitic were a big miss.

I doubt that.
Yes way
