James Lindsay too. One of the worst cultural Marxism people out there. He’s coming to New Zealand this weekend as the keynote speaker for our libertarian party’s annual meeting.
Yes that guy is really off the rails. The sad thing is he co authored a book with another critic of woke excesses named Helen Pluckrose who has a fine Substack where she writes some very interesting critiques of cultural police on both sides of the political spectrum.
Love your writing, and please understand that the comment I am making is from my own experience as a “boomer,” as well as most of my friends. We were hippies and considered ourselves Marxists. I think your comments were directed more towards our parents, the so-called greatest generation.
I've been struggling a lot lately with the total inability of many well-known Jewish Americans to examine Zionism at all, rather than immediately lash out with claims of antisemitism against anyone rightfully horrified by the actions of Israel. Jesse Eisenberg, Sarah Silverman, essentially the most recognizable faces of the Jewish faith in the US have doubled down on this. I can't wrap my head around it because to me it seems so dangerous to willfully ignore the differences in actual antisemitism versus those who are truly not antisemitic but are unwilling to countenance war crimes and genocide. I can understand why Israel is delighted with this approach but for people who are successful here the blindness to the increasing ACTUAL antisemitism that's coming from the same "allies" of Zionism just seems really fucked up. Also the dehumanization of Palestinians is deeply disturbing to hear from people who claim to be all about human rights in every other case. Groups like IfNotNow and JVP are being vilified when truly they are doing the moral thing. How do you imagine this plays out?

I completely forgot about him! I'm pretty sure he got roasted by Dr. Phil.

"hallucinogenic thoughts of right-wing dipshits".... Can I use that with attribution? ;)
Of course!
A clear-eyed and well-written analysis of the troubling current state of the fascist movement in America.
thank you Joe. It is all so crazy but thank you for keeping me informed. Your explanations of very complicated topics are very helpful. thanks
We're all just trying to make sense of the madness!

You're correct - GG would have probably been a better word. No offense to you!
Let's not forget the Uniparty goes by more than a single name. Thanks for the article, and explanation of some of the more esoteric terms.

>Bolsheviks
> Socialists
Not accurate—the means of production in Soviet Russia were controlled by Great Leader Strongman and not by the workers who operated said means.
Soviet means 'workers' council.'
And the Nazi party had “socialist” in their name.
Names are arbitrary and can easily be dishonest.
