Friends was also just a copy of Living Single whose characters were all black and was about "the lives of six New York City friends who share personal and professional experiences while living in a Brooklyn brownstone." which came out 1 year before but didn't get nearly as many seasons as the all-white friends. I would recommend Living Single if you like fixed-angle sitcoms with laugh tracks (I'm laugh track-pilled)

I didn't know that! But, it's not surprising popular culture was ripped off from Black art. (That seems to happen a lot...)
